Relationships are Living Things — and Constantly Changing

Relationships are the most fulfilling (and, occasionally, the most difficult) challenges in our lives. They nurture us, they frustrate us, they make us happy, they confound us. Healthy, rewarding interpersonal relationships make the difference between a good life and one that is far less stellar.

Finding the path to nurturing, nourishing relationships is often a challenge. But, the starting place for healthy relationships with others is a healthy relationship with yourself. Beyond that, a good relationship means you are retaining your own rights, needs and desires… without trampling on the rights, needs and desires of another.

It’s a delicate balance, but is worth the effort and pays life-long dividends… but only if you are the friend/partner/lover/parent/child/sibling you want hope others will be for you.
