Eggs: Poached vs. Boiled
August 14, 2015FLUX – Love this Flat-Folding Artsy Chair
September 7, 2015This month I accomplished something wonderful. It took a little longer than it should have (darn those emergencies that always popped up right before I could reach this goal!), but as of this month, I am officially debt free. Totally. Completely. DEBT FREE!
The interesting thing that I’ve noticed since this momentous event is that my view on spending changed even more radically than it did to get me TO the point of debt free. Now, I look at things and instead of thinking “I want that” or “that’s cool” I think, “I don’t need that” and “that’s not worth what it costs.”
I’m not going to say that I’m suddenly stingier — but until I get a little padding in the savings account for any upcoming emergencies that may hit, I’m keeping a low spending profile. I do NOT want to go back into debt… and the only way to do that is to save enough to cover any incident that would otherwise send me there.
Thanks for reading my little bragging session. I hope you are debt free yourself — or will be soon. It’s liberating as all get-out! 😀

Congratulations! That’s a huge accomplishment! You have the right idea for the future too. Might as well keep living like you have been while paying off debt and save! Your future self will certainly thank you 🙂 Congrats again!
Courtney – Thanks so very much for the kind words and the encouragement! It’s kinda glorious not owing anyone anymore. I’m lovin’ it!
I am hoping to be debt free by March 2016! Just got the credit card paid off and now just have the balance of my car payments to go. Oh boy! It was an easy slide into debt and a tedious climb out, but I needed that to change my attitude.
I hope you meet your goal date (or sooner!) Kim. It’s incredibly liberating. Now, I’m working on better savings! 😀
Congratulations!!! That is a great accomplishment and you should shout about it!
Well, *blush* I must say I’m pretty dang proud! 😀 Thanks for the support!
