I’m a privacy fanatic (despite the fact that I spill my guts online from time to time). As such, I’ll treat your personal information carefully. I’ll respect it and you.

Keeping you informed about how this site (and my advertisers) may collect and use your information is not just my policy, it’s good manners.

Site Users:

From time to time, I may contact registered users personally. You will not get mass emails or generic ones. I may contact you to welcome you or to ask if there is something more you would like to see here that I could provide.

Registration is not required to post comments, but comments may be monitored. I encourage comments from any and all readers, but try to keep it (mostly) family-friendly here at LivingSmall. There are some words I’d prefer not to see on my website.

In the future, if I add a newsletter of a featured article subscription, I may approach you to see if you would like to be included. I don’t do automatic inclusions. I get enough spam already and I’m sure you do too. I won’t contribute to that problem.

Collecting Statistics:

I don’t share, sell or trade information on my visitors. I may track a few things to make sure my visitors are getting what they need. (If I get lots of hits on some topics, I’ll write more related blogs.) It’s all about making you happy and giving you what you want 😉

I welcome your suggestions and encourage you to request any related information that you would like to see on the site that’s not already here. Just tell me how I can help you to make your life a little more simple, your view a little less cluttered, and your day a little more joy-filled and I’ll do my best to assist you!

Advertising Information:

Since LivingSmall is not really a money maker for me (I consider it more of a passion), I’ve opted to “rent” a little space to ads in the hope of offsetting some of my expenses. I appreciate your patronage of the sponsored ads I’ve selected for you and I also use Google AdSense in some areas of the site. Because of this, you need to know how that impacts your privacy:

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to your website.
  • Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the advertising opt-out page. (Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.)
  • Learn more about Google’s privacy policy here: Google ad and content network privacy policy

I hope this answers any questions you have about my use of your information and my philosophy on privacy. Please contact me with any additional questions and thank you for visiting LivingSmall.
